Typography

Typography concerns the appearance of a printed page, encompasses the craft of composing type and printing with it and involves the art of arranging text. The technique endeavors to convey a message, so the layout and design of the letters can communicate as much as, if not more than, the words that they form. Type can be both art in itself and a building block of graphic arts.
