Mickey Mouse is a cartoon character and the mascot of The Walt Disney Company.
The character's first appearance was in the 1928 cartoon "Steamboat Willie." He has gone on to appear in over 100 Disney films and shorts from Fantasia to Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
Mickey Mouse has also appeared in numerous video games, toys, books, and as a meet-able character at Disney theme parks making him one of the most recognizable cartoon characters worldwide.
