Vincent van Gogh was a dutch painter known for his use of bold color and post-impressionist style. Some of van Gogh's most famous paintings include 'The Starry Night,' 'Almond Branches in Bloom,' 'Sunflowers,' and 'Starry Night Over the Rhone.' van Gogh also painted numerous portraits and self portraits throughout his career.
van Gogh died in 1890 of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
