Details: This poster shows a black and white photo of Elsie Smith playing the saxophone, and Lionel Hampton singing and clapping. The picture is from Chicago, 1956.

Elsie Smith was a saxophonist who played in Lionel Hampton's band. Lionel Leo Hampton (April 20, 1908 - August 31, 2002), was a jazz percussionist and bandleader. He was the first jazz vibraphone player and arguably the greatest ever. He ranks among the great names in jazz history, having worked with a who's who of jazz musicians, from Benny Goodman to Buddy Rich to Charlie Parker and Quincy Jones.
