Details: This poster is of a vintage ad created by Jules Cheret. It shows a woman in yellow dancing under a rainbow. At the top it says Folies Bergere. At the bottom it says L'Arc en Ciel. Ballet Pantomime en Trois Tableaux.
The Folies Bergère is a Parisian music hall which was at the height of its fame and popularity from the 1890s through the 1920s. Jules Cheret (May 31, 1836 - September 23, 1932) was a French painter and lithographer who became a master of poster art. He is often called the father of the modern poster. Chéret created vivid poster ads for the cabarets, music halls, and theaters.
