Details: This poster is of Penny Gupton's Pu'uhonua O Honaunau. It shows an orange hut within the Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park. This hut is Hale O Keawe Heiau, a Hawaiian temple, and it rests on the edge of the beach, right on the water.
Although she spent her youth in Australia and California, Penny Gupton feels that Hawaii is her true home. She attributes the beauty, color and serene feeling of her artwork to living in the picturesque Hawaiian Island chain. Penny is a self-taught artist, and her watercolor, oil and pen and ink creations all reflect her surroundings. She is currently the resident artist at the Kona Village Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii.
