The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) is an animated fantasy film, diected by Henry Selick and produced by Tim Burton, based on a poem that he wrote. The film tells the story of Jack, a resident of the magical Halloween town who is dissatisfied with his monontnous existance, and accidently stumbles into Christmas town. Jack and the other residents decide that they are going to take over Christmas and kidnap Santa Clause. The film is shot entirely in stop motion animation and took over two years to complete.
