Details: This psoter shows a photo of two cowboys riding on horses. They both have their lassos out. Some of the dirt that the horses are kicking up are visible behind the riders.
A cowboy tends cattle and horses on cattle ranches. Some cowboys also work in and participate in rodeos. Cowboys are more often associated with (mostly fictitious) Indian-fighting than with their actual life of ranch work and cattle-tending. The cowboy became an archetypal symbol of American individualism. Cowboy can be used in a derogatory sense to describe someone who is violent, impulsive, or behaves in a hot-headed and rash manner.
