Details: This poster is of Paysage Aux Papillons (Landscape with Butterflies), by Salvador Dali. Here Dali takes a step away from some of his wilder and more abstract pieces. Two butterflies are the main study in this painting, with one black and white butterfly close up and another that is orange, black, and white. The evening desert landscape is the background, and the leaning shadows grow into the distance. At the bottom it says: Salvador Dali, Paysage Aux Papillons.
Salvador Dali (May 11, 1904 - January 23, 1989) was a Spanish (Catalan) artist. He was a skilled draftsman, best known for the striking, bizarre, and beautiful images in his surrealist work. His famous works include The Persistence of Memory (his most famous work, featuring the melting clocks), Dream Caused by the Flight of a Bee…, Swans Reflecting Elephants, Metamorphosis of Narcissus, Hallucinogenic Toreador, Temptation of St. Anthony.
