Details: This poster is of a vintage ad created by Leonetto Cappiello. It shows a clown wrapped in an orange peel. He is holding a bottle of Campari. At the bottom it says: Campari l'aperitif.
Campari is an alcoholic aperitif obtained from the infusion of bitter herbs, aromatic plants and fruit in alcohol and water. It is a type of bitters. Leonetto Cappiello (1875 - 1942) was an Italian poster art designer who lived in Paris. Some of his famous posters include Parapluie-Revel, Pates Baroni, and Bitter Campari. He redesigned the turn of the century pictures into images more relevant to the faster pace of the 20th century.
