Scooby-Doo! on Zombie Island is the first of a series of direct-to-video animated films based upon the Scooby-Doo Saturday morning cartoon franchise. The movie was produced in 1997 and was released on September 22, 1998, and it was the first Scooby-Doo movie to be produced by Warner Bros. Animation, though distributed by Hanna-Barbera Cartoons. The Mystery, Inc. gang, which includes Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne and Velma, travel to Moonscar Island which is located in the Louisiana bayou.
