Details: This huge poster shows several yellow cabs in a queue in Times Square. The background buildings are black and white, while the cabs are yellow. Artist Michael Feldmann.
A taxicab, also taxi or cab, is a type of vehicle for hire with a driver, used by a single passenger or small group of passengers, often for a non-shared ride. A taxicab conveys passengers between locations of their choice. Times Square is a major intersection in Manhattan, a borough of New York City at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue and stretching from West 42nd to West 47th Streets. The Times Square area consists of the blocks between Sixth and Eighth Avenues from east to west, and West 40th and West 53rd Streets from south to north. Times Square, sometimes known as the 'Crossroads of the World,' has achieved the status of an iconic world landmark and has become a symbol of its city. Times Square is principally defined by its spectaculars, animated, digital advertisements. A taxicab is a vehicle for hire, with a driver, which conveys passengers between locations of their choice.
