As an actor, he was in films such as From Here to Eternity, The Man with the Golden Arm, Suddenly, Pal Joey, Ocean's Eleven, and The Manchurian Candidate. He was a founding member of the Rat Pack and fraternized with celebrities and presidents, including President John F. Kennedy.
