Details: What one commonly calls ancient Egypt that glorious civilization that sprung up along the banks of the north Nile around 35 B.C.E., flourished for over 3, years. The ancient Egyptians were an enterprising people. They inspired timeless legends and built marvelous structures which still stand as testaments to their inventive spirit. This captivating wall calendar surveys some exciting sights from the land of ancient Egypt. Featuring pyramids, the Sphinx and other popular attractions, this calendar would please even King Tut.

Tutankhamun (1341 BC – 1323 BC) was an Egyptian pharaoh of the 18th dynasty (ruled c.1333 BC – 1323 BC in the conventional chronology), during the period of Egyptian history known as the New Kingdom. His original name, Tutankhaten, means 'Living Image of Aten', while Tutankhamun means 'Living Image of Amun.' The 1922 discovery by Howard Carter of Tutankhamun's intact tomb received worldwide press coverage. It sparked a renewed public interest in ancient Egypt, for which Tutankhamun's burial mask remains the popular symbol. Exhibits of artifacts from his tomb have toured the world.
