Details: This poster is of Canyon de Chelly, from The Mural Project, by Ansel Adams. It shows a view of the canyon from above. At the bottom it says Ansel Adams, The Mural Project 1941-1942, Canyon de Chelly.
Ansel Easton Adams (February 20, 1902 ¿ April 22, 1984) was an American photographer and environmentalist, best known for his black-and-white photographs of the American West and primarily Yosemite National Park. Adams' timeless and visually stunning photographs are reproduced on calendars, posters, and in books, making his photographs widely recognizable. El Capitan is a 3,000-foot (910 m) vertical rock formation in Yosemite National Park, located on the north side of Yosemite Valley, near its western end. The granite monolith is one of the world's favorite challenges for rock climbers. The formation was named El Capitan ( the captain or the chief ) by the Mariposa Battalion when it explored the valley in 1851.
