Details: Intergalactic travelers and stargazers need never be lost in the Cyrannus star system if they have this in their back pocket: the first and only official map of the 12 Colonies of Kobol.
It's the most authoritative and complete rendering of the Colonies that's ever been made. This richly detailed map features a wealth of information on each colony – everything from population stats and local attractions to pyramid team names and brief histories.
One year in the making, the Map of the 12 Colonies of Kobol was developed in collaboration with Battlestar Galactica Co-Executive Producer (and Executive Producer of Caprica) Jane Espenson, whose signature appears on the map.
NASA scientist Dr. Kevin R. Grazier, who was science adviser on Battlestar Galactica and co-author of The Science of Battlestar Galactica, served as science adviser in the making of this map.
Hollywood graphic designer Geoffrey Mandel created the map from scratch, making countless revisions as the technical data underwent painstaking scrutiny. The full-color map measures 26 x 39 and is printed on 100-pound, satin-finish paper. Suitable for framing and for hours of enjoyment – especially if you like gazing at heavenly bodies in their relative orbits.
Battlestar Galactica (often abbreviated as BSG or Battlestar) is a military science fiction serial drama television series and part of the Battlestar Galactica franchise. The show was created by David Eick and Ronald D. Moore as a re-imagining of the Battlestar Galactica television series from 1978 created by Glen A. Larson. It is about the approximately 50,000 human survivors who flee their home planets after the Cylons attack. Under the leadership of Colonial Fleet officer Commander William "Bill" Adama, the Battlestar Galactica and its crew take up the task of leading the small fugitive fleet of survivors into space in search of a fabled refuge known as Earth.
