Details: This poster shows three Canada Geese in flight. Behind them is a wintry scene of bare trees and snow on the ground.
The Canada Goose has a black head and neck with white chinstrap. They are 35-40 in. long with a 65-70 in. wing span. Like most geese, it is naturally migratory, the wintering range being most of the US. The calls overhead from large groups of Canada Geese flying in V-shaped formation signal the transitions into spring and autumn. The Canada Goose was depicted on the 1986 series Canadian $100 note.
