Details: This is a poster of Nimfee (Waterlilies), by Claude Monet. It shoes several water lilies in a pond shaded by the branches of a weeping willow tree.

Claude Monet (1840-1926) was a French impressionist painter. In fact the term "impressionist derived from the title of his painting Impression, Sunrise. While visiting the Louvre, in Paris, as a young man, rather than copy the old masters Monet looked out the window and painted what he saw. He continued to paint scenes of modern life, throughout his career. His most famous works are of the water lilies in his garden at his home in Giverny.
