Details: This poster is a copy of The United States Declaration of Independence. The original document has faded over the years and is tough to read. This legible copy is an authentic reproduction with parchment background based on engraving made by printer William J. Stone in 1823.
The United States Declaration of Independence was the document adopted by the Continental Congress on July, 4 1776 which declared the thirteen original American colonies as independent states from Great Britain. It was written by Thomas Jefferson, after being assigned to a 'Committee of Five,' which also included John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Robert R. Livingston and Roger Sherman.
