Details: This is an archival photo showing an elepant and a German Shepherd.
Elephants are mammals, and the largest land animals alive today. African elephants, are currently found in 37 countries in sub-Saharan Africa. The African elephant is typically larger than the Asian and has a concave back. Africans' ears are much larger and are shaped like the continent of their origin. Both sexes of African elephants have long tusks, while male and female Asian elephants have shorter tusks, those in females being almost non-existent. The German Shepherd Dog is a breed of large-sized dog that originated in Germany. The German Shepherd is a relatively new breed of dog, with its origin dating to 1899. As part of the Herding group, the German Shepherd is a working dog developed originally for herding and guarding sheep. Because of its strength, intelligence and abilities in obedience training it is often employed in police and military roles around the world. Due to its loyal and protective nature, the German Shepherd is one of the most registered of breeds.
