Details: This poster shows a drawing of a VW Transporter, including some of the interior. The background is green, and there are flowers in the top right and bottom left corners. In the bottom right it says VW Transporter Classic Car Series and has the Haynes logo.

The Volkswagen Type 2 (also known as Transporter or Bus) was the second automotive line introduced by German automaker Volkswagen. It was a van introduced in 1950. The Type 2 is the forerunner of modern cargo and passenger vans. Updated versions of this line are still being produced in international markets, both as a passenger and cargo van and as a pickup truck. It is also unofficially known as a Microbus or hippie van, the latter due to its popularity with the 1960s/70s counterculture movement. Since that time, however, the original 1950¿1967 Type 2 (primarily the pre-1956 barn-doors) has become a highly sought after collector's item.
