Details: This poster is of a vintage ad created by Leonetto Cappiello. It shows a clown wrapped in an orange peel. He is holding a bottle of Campari. At the bottom it says 'Bitter Campari'.
Campari is an alcoholic aperitif obtained from the infusion of bitter herbs, aromatic plants and fruit in alcohol and water. It is a type of bitters. Leonetto Cappiello (1875 - 1942) was an Italian poster art designer who lived in Paris. Some of his famous posters include Parapluie-Revel, Pates Baroni, and Bitter Campari. He redesigned the turn of the century pictures into images more relevant to the faster pace of the 20th century.
