The Minnesota Twins are a professional baseball team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Twins are a member of the Central Division of Major League Baseball's American League. One of the American League's eight charter franchises, the club was founded in Washington, D.C. in 1901 as the Washington Senators. In 1961, the team moved to Minneapolis. Target Field is the home baseball park of the Minnesota Twins. Located in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, it is the franchise's sixth ballpark and third in Minnesota. The Twins moved to Target field in 2010 after 28 seasons at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome.
