William A. Shea Municipal Stadium, usually shortened to Shea Stadium, is a ballpark in New York City. It is the longtime home of the New York Mets Major League Baseball club, and one of the oldest parks in the National League, serving as home of the Mets since 1964. It is located in the Flushing section of the borough of Queens. It is currently in its final season, the last regular season baseball game to be played on September 28, 2008. Shea Stadium is to be replaced in 2009 by Citi Field.
