Pink Floyd was an Enlgish psychedilic rock group noted for their philosophical lyrics and eleborate live shows. They are best known for their popular concept album Dark Side of the Moon, released in 1973 and for the rock opera The Wall, the album for which was released in 1979. Although the band basically disbanded in 1985, with the departure of lead singer Roger Waters they reunited in 2005 for a performance at Live 8.
