Details: This poster shows a Sea Otter in the water lying on his back. His front paws are on either side of his open mouth. This gives him a look of surprise or playfulness.
The Sea Otter is a large otter native to the North Pacific, from northern Japan and Kamchatka east across the Aleutian Islands south to California. Sea urchins and abalone are a favorite prey of the otters. To eat prey in shells they often use rocks, which sit on their stomach, to break open the shell in order to get the creature inside. Otters frequently eat while floating on the surface of the water
This poster is usually printed with a thin white edge border.
