Details: This poster shows a rainy side street in the Kichijoji neighborhood of Tokyo. There are many signs and advertisements on both sides of the street, and people walking around carrying umbrellas. At the top it says 'Tokyo'.
Kichijoji is a neighborhood in the city of Musashino in Tokyo, Japan. It is centered on the commercial area to the north of its train station and has a youthful, artistic, slightly countercultural reputation. Tokyo ('Eastern Capital'), officially Tokyo Metropolis, is one of the 47 prefectures of Japan. It is located on the eastern side of the main island Honshu and includes the Izu Islands and Ogasawara Islands. Tokyo Metropolis was formed in 1943 from the merger of the former Tokyo Prefecture (Tokyo-fu) and the city of Tokyo. Tokyo is the capital of Japan, the center of the Greater Tokyo Area, and the largest metropolitan area of Japan. It is the seat of the Japanese government and the Imperial Palace, and the home of the Japanese Imperial Family. Tokyo was described by Saskia Sassen as one of the three "command centers" for the world economy, along with New York City and London.
